Haeundae Beach - Admission Fees


  • Haeundae Station (line 2, exit 3/5). 5 mins walk. 💡It takes around 50 mins by subway from Busan Station (line 1) with 1 line transfer. If you are travelling with luggage, please take the escalator/lift near exit 5/7.

  • Busan KTX Station (main entrance) / Busan Subway Station (line 1, exit 6). Cross to the middle of the road for the bus stop and take Bus# 1003 to Haeundae Beach. 45 mins.

  • Taxi from Busan Station, 40 mins.

Haeundae Beach is the most famous beach in Busan and beloved throughout the country.

Gunam-ro Main Road to Haeundae Square at Haeundae

Gunam-ro Main Road (Haeundae Station to Haeundae Beach)

Gunam-ro is the main road of Haeundae Beach starting from Haeundae Station (line 2, exit 3/5) to Haeundae Square of Haeundae Beach. It has a wide pedestrian walkway with the road traffic running on both sides. 

Nicely-decorated restaurants, cafes, shops (e.g. ArtboxOlive YoungDaiso) and convenience stores (e.g. US25, CU, 7-ELEVEN) lined both sides of Gunam-ro.

Interestingly, there many pretty self-photo studios (e.g. Photo Signature, Photo Drink) in Haeundae. They offer many interesting props and hair styling tools for that perfect and memorable self-photo of your holiday in Haeundae, Busan.

Haeundae Square 해운대 이벤트광장

Haeundae Square (/Haeundae Event Plaza) is the midpoint of Haeundae Beach. It provides good view of Haeundae beach and the ocean beyond.

There are good walking path along the whole stretch of Haeundae Beach and seats available to take a rest.

💡There are no rubbish bins along the beach walk. You can either bring back your own rubbish or dispose them at the public toilets located at Haeundae Square or towards the right end of the beach.

On sunset, it is a mesmerising sight when the sea, beach and sky are painted in shades of red, orange and yellow over the horizon.

Walk on the left of Haeundae Beach towards the 3 tall towers of Haeundae LCT The Sharp located near the trending area of Haeundae Mipo.

💡Landmark Tower @Haeundae LCT The Sharp is the second tallest building in South Korea (& tallest in Busan).

Located 2 mins walk from BUSAN X the SKY entrance is the popular Haeundae Blueline Park which operates both Haeundae Beach Train and Haeundae Sky Capsule along the 4.8km abandoned railway line to Cheongsapo and Songjeong.


Busan Green Railway (/Haeundae Green Railway) is a wooden deck walkway built alongside the railway line, ideal for those who wish to explore the beautiful coast and attractions along the way at a leisure pace.

2 mins walk from BUSAN X the SKY entrance along the coastline is the Haeundae Cruise Terminal at Haeundae Mipo. From the cruise terminal, you can take the sightseeing cruise, Haeundae Cruise on a day tour to Oryukdo Islets or night tour to Gwangandaegyo Bridge. On top, there are many popular restaurants and cafes with fantastic sea view around the cruise terminal too!

▶ Extreme Right of Haeundae Beach

Located near the right side of Haeundae Beach at Haeundae Square Public Parking Lot is Haeundae Pojangmachachon 해운대포장마차촌 (Haeundae Food Cart Village). Most of the stores offer fresh seafood set in a cosy, local ambience.

For nature lovers, a walk along the easy and scenic Dongbaekseom Island Coastal Trail located on the right of Haeundae Beach is a must. Visit the Lighthouse Observatory and Nurimaru APEC House on the island.

Few minutes walk from the main entrance of Dongbaekseom Island is The Bay 101 Yacht Club where you can have the famous fish & chips or go on a 60 mins Yacht Cruise Tour around Gwangandaegyo Bridge and Haundae Marine City.

Knotted is a famous cafe that opened in Haeundae in October 2022. The cafe spreads across 4 floors (including roof garden) with different floor themes. Long queue can be spotted outside the restaurant even 6 months after its opening. The cafe is well-liked for its signature creamy donuts, delightfully-designed small whole cakes, brightly coloured interior and photo zones, particularly the pink staircase, smiley character balloons and photo mirrors. There are merchandise for sale at the store, including its mascot, Sugar Bear.

Chunhachudong Milmyeon is a milmyeon specialty store that serves milmyeon (wheat noodles served in cold broth or spicy sauce). The broth has a darker brown colour compared to other places as it is brewed with Korean medicinal herbs along with Korean beef bones. Though the milmyeon in cold broth looks plain, it is very tasty and a highly recommended must-eat in Busan.💡Milmyeon originated in Busan and it is a variant of the North Korean noodle dish, naengmyeon.
