Deoksugung Doldam-gil (Deoksugung Stone-wall Road) 덕수궁 돌담길
City Hall Station (line 1/2, exit 1/2/12). 2 mins walk.
Stretching approximately 900m in length, Deoksugung Stone-wall Road (or Deoksugung Doldam-gil) was Korea’s first successful attempt at creating a comprehensive urban space where people and nature coexist in perfect harmony.
There are over 20 benches and 130 trees along the road, offering a great place to rest and enjoy the unique atmosphere. It is also an ideal dating spot for couples to stroll along the romantic stone-wall road.
For a picturesque view of the treetops along Deoksugung Stone-wall Road particularly during Autumn, the nearby Jeongdong Observatory & Cafe Darak on the 13th floor of Seoul City Hall Seosomun Building is a must visit in Seoul.
Visitor can also extend the walk with a visit to nearby Deoksugung Palace or Seoul Museum of Art as well.
