Eungbong Station (Gyeongui–Jungang Line, exit 1). Turn left upon exit. Walk along the road as the train line. At the first junction, turn right. Turn left at the next junction. Walk straight ahead and take the stairs up the mountain. 10 mins walk.
Eungbongsan Mountain is a relatively low mountain (peak at 95.3m) in Seoul and it is known for yellow Forsythia flowers in spring.




On the mountain peak, there is an Octagonal Pavilion, attracting visitors and photographers with its magnificent day and night views of bridges, highways and cityscape across Han River.




Annual Festivals at Eungbongsan Mountain
Eungbongsan Mountain is known for Eungbongsan Sunrise Festival held annually on the first sunrise of the year with performances at the Octagonal Pavilion.


Every late March, Eungbongsan Forsythia Festival was held here when Forsythia (yellow flowers) covers the entire mountain together with cherry blossoms to create a spectacular scenery.








Popular Walking Routes between Eungbongsan & Seoul Forest
There are 2 walking paths between Eungbongsan Mountain and Seoul Forest, particularly popular in spring where visitors continued from Forsythia viewing at Eungbongsan Mountain to Cherry Blossoms appreciation at Seoul Forest.


a) Shorter Walking Route between Eungbongsan & Seoul Forest
Get down from the stairs of Eungbongsan Mountain to a platform with pedestrian path leading to Yongbigyo Bridge crossing to Seoul Forest.






b) Longer Walking Route between Eungbongsan & Seoul Forest
Get down from Eungbongsan Mountain. Follow the dotted path on the map and cross the underpass to the riverside. Walk across Jungnangcheon Stream via the pedestrian bridge. Turn right after the bridge and walk around the corner of Hangang Waterside Park to get on the Footbridge leading direct to Seoul Forest. From the Footbridge, you can get awesome view of the cherry blossom trees (in spring) and deer corral below.






From Seoul Forest, you can take the subway from Seoul Forest Station (Gyeongui–Jungang Line, 2 mins walk) or Ttukseom Station (line 2, exit 8, 10 mins walk) to your next destination.
