National Museum of Korea is the largest museum in Korea and houses precious Korean cultural assets.

Permanent Exhibitions

The museum preserves and presents over 12,000 collections from ancient times, featured across various Permanent Exhibition sections.

Medieval & Early Modern History - historical and cultural items from the 3 most significant periods of Korea's national development, namely the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392), Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897) and Korean Empire (1897-1910).

Prehistory & Ancient History - artifacts from earliest Korean civilization and culture.

Calligraphy & Paintings - traditional Korean paintings, Buddhist paintings and calligraphy.

Donated Works - treasures donated by individual collectors.

Room of Quiet Contemplation - 2 bodhisattva statues that are designated as National Treasure of Korea.

Sculptures & Crafts - World's specimens of Buddhist sculptures, metal arts and ceramics.

World Art Gallery - artwork and cultural objects of Asian cultures.

Path to History - open space where the extraordinary Ten-story Stone Pagoda of Gyeongcheonsa Temple is displayed.

Outdoor Exhibitions - pagodas, stone lanterns, Buddhist shrines and statues.
